Just a few thousand kilometres north of New Zealand, across Australia, is a cluster of countries, rich in history and culture, from hidden temples in deep forests to modern skyscrapers in their city centres.

This cluster of countries is known as South East Asia and consists of Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Each month we will take you on an informative journey through the landscapes of each South East Asian country, from Dutch-influenced Indonesia to Vietnam with its lingering French heritage.

This month we you bring you Malaysia, a multi-cultural country joined to Singapore by a causeway and located just slightly below Thailand.

Please use the buttons on your left to navigate around the site.

Enjoy.
